my widget of shame

Yes, that’s right, my word count is so low it barely registers on the meter. But I’m not worried. Down but not out, discouraged but not defeated. I will rise again to sit in Starbucks and pretend to be a writer, getting my inspiration from my Caramel Macchiato. Yes, all this and more awaits me.

I’m participating in NaNoWriMo this year, and I came across a great article for writers on naming your fictional characters. I was looking through baby names sites (not because I’m having a baby, no more, please!) to see what were the popular names for this year, when I came across this:

nanowrimo 2008

Last year I committed to NaNoWriMo but never started. This year I hope I can commit, start, and even perhaps finish! My schedule is clearer than it was last year, so maybe that will help.
